National Leadership Seminar is an incredible way to increase your leadership skills, and learn more about how you can serve the Order, Scouting, and your community. Each NLS is taught by a team of former and current Section and National officers who are prepared to provide you with:
A challenging, inspiring, and enjoyable learning experience
A better understanding of the skills of leadership, and how to apply them
A better understanding of themselves and of other people
A realization that, with practice and work, everyone can improve their leadership skills
An understanding that leadership skills work in tandem with one another
An understanding that different situations require the application of different leadership skills
A model with which to evaluate themselves and others in the use of leadership skills
If you are a lodge officer, committee chair, or up-and-coming lodge leader, NLS is for you! Although the Southern Region recommends that participants be at least 14 years old and have completed Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) training, it is not mandatory.
The next NLS will be held November 8-10 at Camp Widjiwagan in Antioch, TN, and the event cost is $230. The last date to register is October 25th, so sign up today! If you are not available that weekend, there are three NLS weekends next year, including one in Atlanta on March 6-8.
